Click here to download a sponsorship form and to get details on how to raise funds via Just Giving.  Check out our fundraising inspiration guide for more ideas on how to boost your sponsorship.

Can children take part?

The MK Midnight Moo is not suitable for anyone under the age of 14. Any walker aged between 14 and 18 years must have written consent and be accompanied by a responsible adult who is a registered walker.

Can I wear fancy dress?

Yes, we encourage it! Remember to incorporate your MK Midnight Moo vest  into your outfit attaching your completed herd number on the front. There is a prize for the best dressed team and individual. Take a look at our gallery for inspiration.  This year's theme is Gold!

What time should I arrive on the night?

Registration starts at 10.00pm at intu Milton Keynes. You must register/sign in with our MK Midnight Moo team by 11.30pm.

Where can I park?

Intu Milton Keynes provide free parking to participants during the MK Midnight Moo. Once you’ve parked up, take the escalator down to the shopping centre mall. Intu Milton Keynes’ address is 67 Midsummer Place, Central Milton Keynes. If you’re a Sat Nav user, type in MK9 3GB.

How long is the route?

The MK Midnight Moo is 10 miles around the redways of Milton Keynes, starting and finishing at intu Milton Keynes. The route map for 2017 is in all the registration packs and is also available online. The Webber Independent School is our midway point where you need to re-register. At this point, we’ll check you’re OK and you can get a quick drink and snack break.

Will there be toilets?

There are toilets at the start and finish of the Moo as well as at points along the route (including at The Webber Independent School). See the route map for all the details.

How long will it take?

Remember, it’s not a race, but very fit herd members have returned in just under three hours. Lead walkers will set the pace and our official rear walkers will ensure the herd’s safety. We ask that you don’t pass the lead walkers, they are in place for your own safety. Any walkers who have not finished the route by 5am will be located and transferred to the finish line by our shuttle bus.

How fit do I need to be?

We highly recommend that you train prior to the walk. Training tips are available in all registration packs as well as online on mkmidnightmoo.com. Don’t underestimate 10 miles, especially at night time, it’s going to be a challenge!

Do I need special footwear or clothing?

We recommend that you wear comfortable clothing and well fitting, sturdy footwear (for example walking boots or trainers). Please do prepare for all weather conditions. Remember to wear your MK Midnight Moo vest as your top layer and customise it as much or as little as you’d like to!

Can I walk as part of a team?

Yes, we strongly recommend you walk in teams for both your safety and motivation.

Will I be safe?

Your safety is of the utmost importance to us. The route will be heavily marshalled and policed. We do encourage you to walk with friends. Do bring a torch and you must re-register at Webber Independent School, which is the mid-way point and register at intu Milton Keynes once you’ve completed the walk. Please don’t overtake the lead walkers.  If you need assistance along the route, please ask one of our marshals. We ask that you adhere to all these measures as they are in place for your safety.

Will there be refreshments?

We suggest you bring a bottle of water and an energy snack with you.  Bottled water, courtesy of Vendmaster, will be available at various points along the route. There will also be a light breakfast available at the end of the MK Midnight Moo.

Can I bring my dog?

Only guide dogs are permitted on the route.

Can I use a walking aid?

We cannot permit walking aids to be used by walkers, as this may present a hazard to others on the route.

Is the route suitable for wheelchair users?

We would not recommend the use of wheelchairs on this route.

Why only women?

There is something special about women joining together for a common cause and this is the only Willen Hospice event which is ladies only. However, we do need the men to volunteer for the event – please email florence@midnightmoo.com for more details.
